This week of science we learned about eating healthy. Water is one of the most healthy yet overlooked. Water’s benefits to your health are amazing. You need half of your body weight in water to be healthy by switching lb’s for oz’s. It may seem like a lot but your body loses water a lot during the day. One reason why people say to eat more vegetables is because vegetables contain enzymes. Enzymes help your body digest your food. If your body didn’t have enzymes you wouldn’t be able to digest your food and would die. The four key vegetables are:
- Kale which improves blood circulation and contains lots of calcium
- Carrots contain carotenoids which help improve night vision and cataracts
- Broccoli contains many vitamins, minerals, and protein
- Dark leafy greens contain chlorophyll and lots of minerals
